Go Green for 4th of July!
The United States turns 242 years old this 4th of July! Typically we celebrate the birth of America with BBQ’s, fireworks, and of course all things “red, white and blue.” This year, Dick’s Sanitation is going “green” for the 4th! Here are some ways you can too:
Say Goodbye to Plastic:
Whether you are buying groceries for a BBQ or spending your day at the beach, we encourage you to ditch the plastic and bring reusable bags and bottles. Using a single plastic bag or bottle can impact our Earth and numerous animals for hundreds of years. Mother Earth and DSI appreciates your efforts to make the swap to reusable products!
Dump the disposable plates and cutlery:
Disposable plates, cups and cutlery are an easy and convenient option for 4th of July parties and picnics; however, all the excess waste takes a toll on our environment. If you are able, use as many reusable dishes, cups and silverware as you can.
Recycling is good, but recycling well is great. Remember to place all empty bottles, cans & paper in your recycling and keep food, liquids & plastic bags out of your recycling.
